Axon Sense: a clinic's view of the weeks between appointments.

A patch the size of a matchbook that records heart rhythm, breathing, skin temperature and movement around the clock, for as long as the care plan needs.

Why programs choose it

What care teams told us they needed before they would trust a wearable with a real decision.

01

People keep it on

A device that comes off on day four is a four-day device. Axon Sense 2 runs nine days on a charge and the adhesive carrier changes weekly; most wearers stop noticing it by the second week.

02

Gaps are visible, not hidden

When the signal is poor the patch says so, sample by sample. Nothing is interpolated over and presented as data.

03

It works without a phone

Data goes to a Nexa Edge hub or a Fieldmesh gateway. Wearers do not need a smartphone, an app, or a password.

04

It fits the record you have

Observations arrive in the chart as HL7 or FHIR, mapped to the codes your interface team already uses.

What it records

Four signals, captured together so they can explain each other.

Single-lead ECG

Continuous rhythm at 512 Hz, with beat detection and signal quality flags computed on the device.

  • Atrial fibrillation burden and episode timing
  • Heart rate and heart rate variability
  • Pause and bradycardia events with the raw strip attached

Respiration

Breathing rate derived from chest wall impedance and motion, cross-checked against each other.

  • Resting respiratory rate trend
  • Nighttime breathing pattern summaries

Skin temperature

Measured at the contact surface and used for two jobs: physiological trend, and checking the patch itself is comfortable.

  • Trend against the wearer's own baseline
  • Contact loss detection

Activity and posture

A three-axis accelerometer that puts the other signals in context.

  • Steps, sleep and time upright
  • Fall detection on programs that enable it

I saw her breathing change on a Thursday. She felt it the following Sunday. Those three days are the whole program.

Planning a remote monitoring program?

Most of the work in a good program is deciding who gets a patch, for how long, and who looks at what. We can help with that part too.
